VOID & COS are available now
agree w/ scope4 - the manuals are pretty good - i think some of the info from them should make it on to the product description page for these synths...
also, i gather that the 'flexor technology' is used for some of the effects - for example there 'warp' and 'squish' options for distortion - also names of flexor modules. i dont think you will be able to choose and insert other modules.

some screenshots:piddi wrote:- as it "includes flexor technology", i presume a flexor licence is neccessary? or is certain modules "licenced" and comes with the purchase?
- Screenshots. i have no clue what these synths ARE, i cant get their signal paths.
- dry and wet mp3s.
gutsy naming of the COSM i must admit. try googling "cosm synth"
good luck, im probarly a customer when i can lure my mails thru the soniccore spam filter.

Hello to all,
to give some details about VOID "flexor technology" to avoid confusion. First you don't have to have a flexor licence. Most modules used are shapers and overdrive modules. Sorry currently there aren't any filters from flexor package.
Soon there will be some sound samples to check.
Best wishes

This sytnhs are a very good news for us, and they are a positive step forward for the future of Scope.
But, only two thing to say: I find very crappy the 3D interface with this 3/4 perspective view.
I find the pot less ergonomic and controllable than a classic plant 2D view.
And why a little LCD matrix style display when we are into digital domain where we can use more accurate and complete info window for every single pot/control? (just see the John Bowen's Solaris...)
Why imitate the crap limitations of the hardware when the "parts" into SDK are costless???
Apart this (personal) issues, Fra77, I really like your work.
I'm curious about the sound.

4PC + Scope 5.0 + no more Xite + 2xScope Pro + 6xPulsarII + 2xLunaII + SDK + a lot of devices (Flexor III & Solaris 4.1 etc.) + Plugiator.
As long as GaryB and I have no trouble w/ the purchase tomorrow, I would be honored to give a small review, and w/ Cubase issues resolved, possibly a short demo. It would be w/ the COSM Morpher though, as that has piqued my interests in adding more live performance features.
I prefer a demo also, but I'm a Scopee Doodle Dandy, I'm a Scopee Do Or Die. So I shall take the plunge, especially if it will help in the future of my beloved platform.
So It Shall Be Written, So It Shall Be Done,

Hello, to all
Thanks for your interest for the devices. I got to tell you that we will have to change the name of "COSM" so to avoid any problem with another synth related product. It will be renamed most probably to "suraudio- COS". Pitty cause i really liked the name!
Scope4live i got to thank you for your kind words and support. I hope you can get the device tomorrow and make the review. I think the devices will fulfill people's expectations both in terms of sound and user interface.
Best wishes to all of you
John

Too bad for the name but I think it was going to happen anyways.
But the name of a synth does not make or break the potential of it's outcome.
I would like to see a demo (just want to make my point) of these new devices.
I think that a demo will encourage people to take a look at these devices more seriously.
Also if someone else who buys any of the synths gives reviews is great but everyone has different needs and expectations.
Not that I personaly don't trust the peolpe here on PZ.
So I'll wait for a demo.

COS (KOS) is a nice island and I don't like a name that ends with 2 consonants....fra77x wrote:Hello, to all

It's not only a copyright thing, but it could also be misleading, for those who know the other product...
COS is nice. Nicer than COSM.

Indeed it is. I love the G(r)eek Islands. How about introducing the NAXOS, PANDROS and SANTORINI models as well?alfonso wrote: COS (KOS) is a nice island...
Then again, we could move west to the Spanish resorts and have the MAJORCA, the MINORCA (a cheaper, cut down version) and, wait for it... the IBIZA UDM (Ultimate Dance Machine)!
All (well, maybe some) of which make the name "COSM" seem a bit rubbish anyway, really....
