yes, they are unistalled from the old card.
scope plugins can be thought of as pieces of hardware....

So if I have two computers A and B, with card #1 and #2 in installed, respectively, and say I want to transfer the pluggins I have in card #1 in computer A to the card #2 in computer B.
How are the pluggins uninstalled from card #1 in computer A, if the systems are totally independent?

I think I read on the forum here that there is a app you need to run on your system when doing the transfer..
From my understanding, it either wipes the authorization from your cards eeprom or it writes TO your cards eeprom and tells it "dont allow this plugin anymore".

or maybe I misunderstood what I read.

yes, that's the way... this program generates a 'cleaning success' code which you have to transfer to SonicCore and only then they will send you the new registration data. The card will not function until the new code arrives (as a hint for those running a commercial studio)

Actually the scope cards are all equipped with a GPS system.
Any license infringement is beamed to SonicCore, and a tactical nuke is fired upon your precise coordinates.

A little harsh, but it has proven to be a very effective deterrent....

Actually, any GPS system wouldn't work indoor.

So this mecanism only work for people using Scope outdoor...

as far as I understood the procedure, the wipeout process generates a new identity for your card, which the content of the keyfile won't match anymore (it would have been too easy, otherwise).
once the tools SC sends you have collected the necessary data and erased/changed the identity of the card, new keyfiles will be generated. the card the plugins where transferred off is not usable unless your keyfile has arrived (well, the instruction document says that you cannot use the pulsar software then. I don't know if the card would still be usable as dsp booster without the keys).

ps. all ya hackers, be aware that simply using your scope card indoors (to avoid being targetted via gps) is NOT safe unless you disrupt a possibly running internet connection, since a stealth builtin module will sent your current google maps location to SC to provide the necessary data for the missiles

That is a very good deal. Can any one explain any real advantages to the scope 4.5 platform versus 4.0. The synths speak for themselves.

But you get this awesome multiband compressor that takes nearly 3 dsps, and monogrammed socks (while supplies last).
