John Bowen introduces the Solaris hardware synth

Post by johnbowen »

Hi Planet Z'ers,

Well...it can finally be told - at Messe I'm introducing a hardware version of Solaris.
You can read all about it in a number of items that matrixsynth has posted here:

http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/search/ ... h%20Design

We have 2 prototytpes, with 2 different colors. I'll post more about after the first day is through.

I hope you are as excited as I am to be finally bringing this about.

Thanks for all your support, as always,

John Bowen

Hi John,

Fantastic looking synth - I never thought I should buy another hardware synth, but the dark one just looks awesome (we already know the high standard in sound quality you have).

Looking forward to see it at the Messe.

Congratulation.

Cheers

wow, I'm tempted really hard to go back to hardware again...

Hope it's not deadly expensive, and also has some way to transfer output directly to PC. Now, if I only had some space for this thing...

Wooden sides and dark Oberheimish model please.

I had no access tp the web till after rehersal.Just got in to see the rest of the pics and the link from valis, ankyuvarymush.

I am concerned though, where it says purchase, on your site, the tab doesn't work !! This is not what I consider a teaser, but rather a torturer.

You not pulling the wait to order this summer trick are you? I recently bought the Novation remote zero SL, just to have my retailer call me and say thanks for the 300 USD, it will ship the end of April.

I want it now damn it !! Waah-waah-waah. Don't do me this way. you're killing me.

I dream of synthesizers and racks ( big tanned chi-chi's ) every night, but now I will dream of synthesizers and racks ( Solaris w/ wooden ears, Oberheimish and dark ).

Just have Benoist Guitton presets and Marco Paris presets @ the demo, and the synth will actually walk around on it's wooden feet and sell itself.

CONGRADULATIONS JB,

STRENGTH AND SALES VIA ROI<

Hi John

Congratulations. That looks like a big achievement. I read through the description in the link, and I got to think: Does it sound like the scope Solaris?
there is nothing inside based on the Scope system. Also, we brought in a talented dsp programmer to write completely new algorithm code specifically for the Solaris.

And I do think you made a nice choice, when you went for John Bowen Synth Design. Also the fact, that you got that url is really good I think. Good luck with everything :)

Compliments, John, and good luck with this new miliary stone of the synthesis.
You are a father founder, remember! ;)

It looks like several people have been involved in this. I didn't know, that you had been involved in the creation of the Modular1 John. Which parts are your responsibility. The hardware Solaris looks like old friends rejoining create yet another cool thing.
