REAPER gets HW FX integration with sample delay compensation

Post by voidar »

Hi,

As a Creamware/REAPER user and one who requested this features some time ago, I want to announce that version 1.806 just got a plug-in called ReaInsert which lets you send and return audio via user set ASIO-channels.

It also reports a user or auto set latency back to the host for easy latency compensation.

REAPER has a 64-bit floating point pipe-line/mixer and thus makes a great friend to our Creamware hardware.
Inserting effects is now a breeze :), and kind of makes XTC-mode less interesting.

Also, REAPER is basically donation ware.

This is interesting. Are you using VDAT by chance, or are you using Reaper for both midi and audio?

Reaper is NOT shareware.

Non-commercial use license is $40 USD.

If you are using it the right thing to do is to send Justin the $40.

It is the best way to show your support for what he is doing.

It is easily worth the money. Even the $200. commercial license is a steal.

Well, the website actually says REAPER is uncrippled shareware. You will get a nag screen/reminder onec you start the program.
But of course, the designer obviously deserves the 40$ or more.
