BIG midi problem,please help

Post by darkstar »

Hello everyone,

well,I have big problems with my Luna. When I record midi,it appears to be "earlier than I want it to be.For example,if I record something starting from the bar 8,it will record it some time BEFORE bar 8.When I apply quantize to all this, recording simple midi drum channel become nightmare.

It seems that somehow my midi is "moved" to the left after it's recorded.I don't know reason for this, friend suggested that it can be very serious problem. So,please if you have any idea what's this all about, tell me.

I use Cubase sx3,my card is creamware luna 2,computer - asus p4c800-e deluxe,3.0 ghz intel,1 gb ram.....

Thanks,
Best regards

Enable 'use system timestamp' in Devices/windows midi in Cubase. Also make sure you're not using any emulated midi ports [not an issue in latest vsn of SX 3]

Hi again - go to the Devices page in SX, then Device setup at the bottom, then windows midi.......it's a little box at the bottom (just above the help button)

Well you really should get the latest download - a lot of midi problems were resolved in v3.1.1.944

Excellent, dude.....
no idea why it should crop up suddenly like that - did you change your midi interface or something?
I'm in UK, but next time I'm in Serbia I'll take you up on that beer!
Cheers
