What control surfaces are you guys using?

Is there a controller out there that has switchable layers that could be used for Cubase and Scope?

Just wondering. I've been using a Houston controller with Cubase SX for a while. Works pretty well overall. I'm going to see if I can get it to talk to Scope somehow. I'm pretty much of a midiot when it comes to these things so any suggestions as to which modules I should be using, how and where, would be welcome...as in, like, you are describing the process to someone with a serious brain trauma who just woke from a 10 year coma.

It will became my master controller for either Scope and Nuendo.
It has some assignable banks. If you're interested, here: http://www.ucapps.de you will find all the informations. The project is called midibox16 but there are some more evoluted one (64 knob + 64 switch for example) also.

We're using a Control Freak SE by Kenton as our main midi controller. It's less advanced than a BCR or whatever in some respects, but more advanced in others (sysex for example). It's stunningly similar to the Peavey PC-1600.

We also use an Electron SPS-1 which has advanced sequencing options.

I use Peavy PC1600 and the Korg microKONTROL, (@ DJ) which has 12 (programmable) scenes, presets including Cubase and Logic
Velocity pads, dials, faders, keys (3 to 6 oct) and vector controller, all-in-one... alumnium tho,no wood
9 displays reacting to touched controller,and hex programming.
No min/max settings for faders alas, therefor still my old PC1600...

My controllers at the moment:

Roland PC-200 as masterkeyboard (and only keyboard)
Roland MCR-8 as midi controller (Talking about "state of the art")

My plans are to first hack my MC-8 to have new case and front end, to get long faders and decent knobs, along with the eq-section that is switchable by pressing a button. No new functionality, but more clever and "pro-feeling" layout and feel to it.

When I'm done modifying MCR-8 I think I take a midiboxproject as my next goal. I'm not sure yet, how I should advance with it, since it somehow depends on what is going to be my direction with the studio hardware.
If I go analog and buy a decent mixer, I will need a controller to tweak VSTI:s, Scope synths and Reason. If I buy Duende, I will need a controller that looks like SSL channel strip and master compressor =)

Time will tell.

I see that the Control Freak product has profiles for Pulsar. Anyone using this?

anyone using the Tascam US 2400? Are there templates for different controllers anywhere?
