If you plan on moving to WinXP at some point, an nVIDIA card is nice because it gives you hardware acceleration for the pretty Microsoft-"Luna" interface (not CW Luna heh).
Otherwise, the tried and true Matrox G450 or G550 gives high quality 2D and dual head.
I also think Gainward makes a better video card than ASUS...
You can get a Gainward with a Geforce2/3 on it, as well. 32megs should be enough for your music apps, 64megs is nice if you like to play games ever.

Yes, the Matrox G450/G550 are excelent choices for audio applications. They have the best support for Win2k/XP dual head settings.
This is especially usefull if you use your CreamWare software in Desktop mode. You just put your current music soft. on one screen and Luna/Pulsar/Scope in the other.
It's true that they don't have the best 3D performance but think about this: what's the application you spend the most time looking at? Games, Web browsing, Music creation, work(or homework)?

I use the ATI Radeon VE (32MB DDR), which is good enough for all working purposes and watching videos, and it is the cheapest "dualhead" card around... and almost twice as fast as the Matrox G450. Absolutely no issues about it so far, drivers are stable and working is smooth. No fan mounted, I´m very happy with it.
But this card is not usable for playing fast 3D games!

The Radeon VE was not very good with Win2k. Yes, it was much better at 3D but it's architecture was not created for dual head technology and had some implementation problems. It was more like an adaptation of the then current Radeo product.
If you look at ATI's site, you'll see that it has been discontinued.
The new Radeon 8500 does support dual head and is an incredible 3D performer. If they come up with better drivers this time, it's probably your best choice(and most expensive) for all uses.

Indeed, it´s dicontinued...
...doesn´t matter to me, it works fine and was a nice catch for the money. It has VGA+DVI Ports, DVI-to-VGA Adapter is included, too, and all neccessary adaptercables for use with TV.
I work on Win98, btw.
And the card was still being shipped only some days ago, so I guess there are still many distributors who sell it, maybe even cheaper than before.
