Kind of funny how the interface gets darker each version, but they keep the default track background color bright white.

Yeah - i think the darkness is cos a lot of people like the nuendo interface - people tell me that its nicer to look at for long periods of time.. i've used it a bit but to be fair dont really mind the differnces between the interface. If it aint broke and all that...
New plugins look good - its about time cubase shipped with some decent plugs - everyone raves about the plugs that come with logic etc...
ANd i like the idea of track presets and the media bay - they could be a bit of a time saver.. dunno if i want to fork out the money though not yet - i bet in one months time the bug list will be huge!

I have little interest in whatever plugins they ship with it. I never use them anyway cause 3rd party plugs are usually better (not to mention Scope plugins ).

I like the look of the interface though. Drag-and-drop inserts will be nice to have, and also stuff like VST instrument tracks, and the mediabay.

I wonder how much the upgrade cost will be from SL2 to Studio 4...

I like that the VST turns off automatically when there is no sound, thus saving CPU. I just ordered mine.

no, that's the upgrade to Cubase 4 (SX), not to Cubase 4 Studio (SL). I just need to Studio version not the full one.

but i've found the correct number on the Cubase Studio page: 149,-

The plug-ins seem to get better with each version.
