when trying to use VST instruments I am not getting any sound! I get sound from the midi wavetable setting but when i change this to a VSTI I get silence. What setting am I missing. I am a newbie and am finding this hard to get used to. SB live was so much easier. I am using Win XP, a Luna II, and the latest Cubase version. Everything else seems fine so far(I am getting sound from everything else). thanks

Hey relax, sometimes we just have to think about what it is you're asking a little bit.

Do you have "ASIO Source" module wired up correctly in your project? Generally VST instruments output their sound using the ASIO driver you've setup. For a more detail on setting up ASIO for playback/recording in your project, <a href=http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... um=1&9>see my post from a couple days ago - and sandrob's pictures directly above it.</a>

in pulsar project you should connect asio out in one of the pulsar tracks on mixer.
(i think you did it).
every vst instrum has his own audio track
on cubaz mix table(check if it is not routed on a group with 0 volume).
is your asio driver ok in cubaz audio preferences?(i think it should)
what else?maybe have you not selected the instrument in the port column(this is not pulsar port1 anymore you have to choose the name of the instrument you want to play.)
what i say could look basic, but some of these things happens to me when i was
a budding pulsarian lost in the tech darkness he he he
i hope it is that,if not we will talk a again:)

Make sure "midi thru" is enabled (on) in Cubase.
