In a sad, tragic, and overwhelming evolution for me....my father passed away last week. I was crushed.

Being a musician, I have no outlet save whatever creative cathartic element takes hold.....

So here is a very VERY rough song I recorded this afternoon....it came pouring out in about two hours.....probably the quickest I have ever sketched out anything....I guess it just needed to come out.

The song is called Crisis of Absolution. And it's for my Dad.

Recorded in Logic.
The bass is real (my new hobby...learning how to be a bassist) .....a Fender Precision if anybody cares.

Thanks for the listen

The words to the song....for clarity:

For 75 years I walked away from the solution,
Never giving a thought , never tried to get caught in a crisis of absolution.
For 37 times I begged you not to go….
As you walked away, I got nothing to say…Is that your last retribution?

You…turned and faced the door. And as it closed behind, I knew in my mind, you were gone forevermore.

You once inspired me. But when I look at the past, I knew it couldn’t last always inside of me.

47 Angels dance upon the head of a pin,
And when the time is right, I’ll head for the light, and I just might see you again.
Will you raise your glass and toast my final graduation?
To see a smile on your face at the end of the race, will be my greatest compensation.

not what i expected.
i like it.
the kick drum might be tuned to a note that is stronger with the bass guitar....

on the personal level, when a child is made the father and mother combine a part of themselves which grows into an adult. you are your father(and mother) literally, and you are a direct continuation of him.

Oops I missed this one.....
Sorry to hear of your loss...

The track itself isn't my thing but it's well produced.
Love the rhythm section - tight tight tight !!!!!

And Charlie said: "I'm cool with that" and set fire to a posh hammer to make it official
