for me the track starts, when it's over - the guitar seems to prepare a break supposed to be followed by the main hook.
I'd cut from minute 1 to 2 and (possibly) re-use that (or parts of it) for an outro, but following the tension of the track (which nicely builds up) the main theme is missing.
You certainly have a couple of ideas to fill in there, it's worth the effort
Did you only record the sum in VDAT or also single tracks ?

I rather like that 'un, expecially the crisp drums and the bass :-)
It sounds to me like the track wants 'to start' after 8 (or 16) bars as what's happening up until then sounds very much like a lead-in to a main theme.
The guitar part (at the end of the current arrangement) needs tidying up a bit playing-wise, some of the notes aren't as cleanly played as they could be.
