Hi
I have reset my PC to dual boot so that i can use my DAW for office type duties (wife fed up with me fussing over it).
Is there a way that i can get sound without installing all the Pulsar software? ie just the driver to make the sound card work?
sorry if this is (a) a stupid question or (b) a question that should never be asked as i should get rid of my wife!!!
cheers in advance
K
Dual Boot
this is a common misunderstanding about the card.
It 'identifies' itself to Windows as 'soundcard', but that's just categorizing - in fact it's completely empty when powered up.
All functions and the routing are achieved entirely by loading the DSPs.
A standard SFP with just the required connections in a small window starting minimized isn't a big deal (for Windows), nor is it to be installed.
It can even have it's own SFP folder afaik.
cheers, Tom
