According to Magma sales, they are accepting orders for the eCard 34 to PCI host card wich is compatible with the latest MacBook (pro) systems.

A small light at the end of Macless creamware music making tunnel.

There is even an upgrade offer available to existing users:

"The eCard 34 host card (EC34) can be ordered for $299 for those customers who wish to upgrade their current MAGMA chassis. The host card will connect to any product within our product line with the exception of our PCI Express to PCI expansion unit, 64-Bit/66MHz 7 Slot PCI to PCI expansion system and any obsolete 80-pin chassis."

Shipping will start from August 28th

Could you specify this? Is it because creamware doesn't have OSX universal binary support for SFP ?

there is no low level integration into the OS kernel - it's just the GUI that's more or less portable, as you can see with the remote control software of NOAH and the ASBs.

cheers, Tom
