A video archiving facility here in Las Vegas is where a producer/friend of mine has enjoyed using the Intel E6700 w/ an Asus P5W-DH for the last week. He uses a Luna w/ SFP, and Nuendo for all of his work. He was using the Opteron/Tyan combo until that time, and unfortunately must go back to that as I am building my DAW now and need my CPU. The Asus was able to OC the E6700 to 3.3GHz w/ passive cooling, and speed up his work beyond what Opteron could do. This is all I needed to hear, to know what I must do now. I will be posting on the Z of my progress with the Dual Core, and all IRQ settings and such, as I will be using EnergyXT as a VST host, and 3 x Scope Professionals. This is the list of parts I will be using.
