I have just started loading up my box w/ my DSP 15 card from katano and realised that the cards will not fit under the Plextor I purchased 2 weeks ago. I can return this within 30 days so I am considering any alternatives to this situation I caused from my poor research. Would an external drive do the trick? I rarely use it unless I'm loading software which comes on that type of media. This is due to my insistance of housing my hot spares in a SATA RAID cage which takes up the other 3 drive bays on the opposite side of my rackmount case. I do not use RAID 4 I find it unnescessary, but it is useful 4 holding my hot plug spares during a gig if I ever need them due to a drive failure. The rackmount case is the CK-480 Servercase.

Whew!!!
Thank you my Brotha', as I was sweating having to buy another ATX, which would then cause me to buy another SKB, which would be a real drag in my current productivity. Check your PM today.

Thank you Brotha' Man Stardust,
I can't fit my cards into this case, so it is a must to have an external solution now. This will be an awesome DAW IMHO. Conroe CPU, EnergyXT w/VSTi's, Bidule, and of course 3 x Scope Pro's. That dog will hunt!!

Hi Jimmy

I had a similar problem two weeks ago. i tried to put two 15 DSP cards in my cheapo dell dimension 5000. finally i had to break and rip out the hd cage to get the cards fitted in. luckily i was able to place the hd's inside the computer but it's definitively a botchiness (what a word, thanx babylon)

Cheers

I got an external DVD+-RW. It only writes to DVD+R even though it is supposed to work with DVD-R.

If it's an OEM drive, lots of them are simply crap, even with well known brands.
