Hi there...

i'm running Cubase SX3 at home, right now using a Yamaha DSP Factory for I/O. Now somebody offered me an old Pulsar card to buff my system and i wondered if it is possible to make use of the physical in- and outputs of both cards at the same time, thus recording more than just 16 tracks ?

Thanks a lot

it is not possible using asio drivers, but i remember some years ago, i did it using both pulsar and a prodif pro card, working on cakewalk 9 as host and of course, using wave drivers instead of asio.

Hi, I think you have 2 options which really depend on whether you want to stick with the DS2416 or not. If you want to keep the DS2416 because you've become accustomed to working with it, your best bet would be a second DS2416 which would enable you to cascade the 2 of them & have lots of I/Os. On the otherhand, as someone who's now for a couple of years fully moved over from 2xDS2416 to the Scope platform, I really must say that we'll never look back due to Scope being far superior in practically every way. Scope provides far far more. An incredible frontend, masterfully integrated & highly flexible routing enviroment, a HUGE amount of DSP based software, much more depth in every way, more creative possibilities, more funtionality etc etc etc... Oh, and noticably better sound quality (converters on the cards & better DSPs)
