if i import an audio file in nuendo and playback, pass t through scopes mixer and send it back to nuendo for recording as another audio, what about sound quality of it?
does it change
1. if scopes mixer is flat
2. if i change settings from scoped mixer
3. what about the digital samples. is there a difference or quality drop that is unavoidable if i pass the audio throgh scopes mixer?
sound quality of scope
if you want to do the 'cancellation test' be prepared to include a variable sample delay (like the one in the 2448 mixer).
There may a deviation of one (or a few) samples from the expected position of the perfect extinction - probably due to clock jitter.
And of course the (loudness) level must perfectly match
cheers, Tom

if you are using effects in nuendo, you should record it @ 24 bit or 32 bits floating point (using the right asio module) to keep the quality.
The same thing for the scope mixer, if you leave a channel untouched flat, the audio material is unchanged, but if you apply some scope effect, the recording should be done @ 24 or 32 bits.
The advantage of using the stm 2448 is when mixing several audio channels thanks to its dynamic range.
