bx_digital bundle available !!! (bx1 and bx2)
ya, it seems we are sooo close for mastering, i hope this brainworx is it , the whole vdat thing has helped for recording on the sharc chips, add the har-bal, and you have some tools, then the next question before sending out for mastering is , which burner for master?, computers aren't as good as the proper burners, and 2nd. question, anybody have good leads for hi end comps?,
For cd audio burning it's a good thing to do it at 1x speed, for 24 bit masters, there is not difference from having it to computer's hard drive or to external recorders. On 2006-03-18 09:59, Wired wrote:

I do my leads using the modular+ flexor, the pro12 and the solaris and then do my sample banks, is it not enough for you?and 2nd. question, anybody have good leads for hi end comps
yep, bought one... i'm really happy with it even if i only did some remastering tests with older projects of mine or some cd's, which doesn't sound that good to my ears.On 2006-03-24 09:53, Wired wrote:

I will use the bx_digital in productive conditions for the first time in my next production at the beginning of april, which is a recording/mixing/mastering session with an old school rock band.
My mastering chain was psyQ, Optimaster, WavesL2/L3. And is now supported by the bx_digital in front of psyQ. I'm not shure if I need psyQ anymore, because i could definitely get a nice stereo depth with bx_digital. and the eq of psyQ, as we all know, must be handled with care...
i never worked with the m/s technique till the release of bx_digital. how ever, i needed some time to get into this stuff. but i can tell you all, it works like a charm!
I definitely got the best results in remastering some goa tracks. WOOOW, a more or less flat sounding track made me smile a half an hour long. Without the need of consuming drugs btw...

If someone is interrested to send me a track to process with bx_digital, don't hesitate to ask! as we know, there's no demo

Hi to all!
I advise everyone who else never used of MS system (Mid/Side Processing) for mastering,
to experiment with 7-bands Widening Parametr'EQ (DirectX and VST plug-in)...
Demo Limitations:
- One single instance of the plug-in per session.
- The effect is bypassed for 5 seconds every 15 seconds.

so the equing of the m and s is the asset of the brainworx, however the widening part is not new, but for the price , i think i'll try this, i'm getting a tfpro p38 stereobuss comp which has 50-150% widening, from mono up to 150percent,so the only thing i was missing is the ability to eq the m and s seperately, ..thankx
i've tried it from an audio shop, i agree about the quality, but i've found that the mono maker does not work properly and it removes the low frequency from the side image, but does not add it to the center. On 2006-03-25 11:25, katano wrote:yep, bought one... i'm really happy with it even if i only did some remastering tests with older projects of mine or some cd's, which doesn't sound that good to my ears.On 2006-03-24 09:53, Wired wrote:

Have You done a test with a wide sub bass image ?

no, i didn't test the mono maker at this point. I'll ask Dirk in German if they compensate the removed lows and will post the answer...
i'll also do some tests with inserts (vinco, transient designer etc.)

Hi everybody!
I just read what you are discussing... and I can asure you that the MonoMaker does NOT just cut away the bass frequencies of the Difference signal... that would indeed be a BAD idea in general, although you CAN do that with the bx_digital, as you have a hi-pass filter in each section (switchable).
We will be in Frankfurt at the CREAMWARE booth all days with our own audio station, so please come and visit us!*
Best wishes, Dirk / BRAINWORX.
PS: PLEASE test the ATTACKER in the inserts! Set the Attacker in the MONO section to 2 or 3, and leave the ATtacker of the S-signal at zero. Enjoy your Bass-Drum and Snare-Punch...*

By the way... I forgot:
there is a NEW demo video on our homepage from NOW on with the final graphics...
Please check http://www.brainworx-music.de
There are some problems with the size of the video, but we will fix that later today or tomorrow. The sound is 256 kbit MP3, so you can judge for yourself...*
