Hi guys, its been a while since i posted and in the interim i've had a deterioated raid array, which had all my projsect files on it!
I have been lucky and been able to get the raid array back in working order, but not without a hellava lot of blue screens!
Anyway, its nearly working perfectly, and i can get on with some work now...

I have one question about "process priority" in task manager - first has anyone tinkered with this? i notice that cubase is, by default, on above normal priority, and wanted to know if there is a way to make SFP above normal as well (by default) - at the moment i have to launch task manager every time and set it to a higher priority.
Second, is it worth doing? i gotta say i really don't know if setting SFP to higher priority is good or bad, it seems like it might be a good idea but i dunno if it will really affect performance
Thanks
Tom

Actually, many of us run Scope in /low/ priority, since VU meters tend to be a real CPU hog.

Check this on how to.

Thanks at0m,
Sorry, just to show how thick i am, you say in the other thread that:

Running SFP in low priority is what many of us do. Maybe this one can make it easier: You can edit the links to "start /low C:SFPAppBinSFP.exe -s" or save it in a text file called sfp.bat, and it will automatically start in low priority. The "-s" switch tells SFP to open the start project iconized.

Where can i edit these links from?

I'm sorry to be incomplete..

Save the "start /low ..." in a .bat file, and then right-click the shortcuts you're using and change their target to that batch file. Since the command itself to start SFP at low priority is not a valid path, you can't update the shortcut directly to it, it won't be accepted if you click "OK" after updating the shortcut. It works when linking to the batch file, which can easily be given a valid path in the shortcut, for example c:sfp.bat.
