Scope 4.5 ?

I checked CW webiste and I've read some of the "new" features. Maybe I'm missing something, but...what's really new in 4,5 ? It smells like
a commercial move to earn some of our money.
I'm happy with my 3.1c

I'm envious of you because you have the time for staying hours in front of the monitor reading posts, but I've read only the information on the Creamware website, that's the reason why I wrote this post. But I haven't been lucky with the answers

It's not your fault. But surely you understand that we don't need yet another thread about this.

The only answer is that CW doesn't owe you anything, and you don't have to pay. You can install v4.5 without any additional plugin keys. The cost is only for more plugins.

well I can't see the reason why CW called it "Scope 4.5", this is not an upgrade.

We paid the 98 euro for the upgrade deal after having installed 4.5 weeks & weeks beforehand.

We registered 4.5 to our PulsarII which already had S&S & M&M packs on it. The reason we took the deal was mainly because we would be getting VDAT, Pro-12 & SBCough for 98euro. It was an excellent deal & we have taken a very big liking to VDAT, which is a very nice tool indeed.

That's my experience put politely.

of course, other people should take time out of their schedule to answer your question, rather than you spending some time doing a simple forum search

You shouldn't get so worked up about version numbers. You don't have to upgrade/update/whatever... if you took the time to read the threads you'll realise why we just can't be bothered to debate this yet again. The irony is that this thread will inevitably turn into yet another boring rant-filled pointless waste of space. Because people just love to rant on forums and scream their opinion at the world (sad fact of the internet).

Why upgrade? It's something I never understood.. if things are working don't bother. Having said that 4.5 is working great for me, really stable and fast. But that's probably more due to my new computer.

I'm still on Scope 3.1c myself. I did d/l v4 when it came out, but still haven't got round to trying it out! My system's pretty stable & reliable so I'm not that tempted to change things.

I did order a new set of Grover machine heads for my renovated acoustic today though! £35 - a bargain I thought. The old 'uns are cream crackered and go out of tune pretty quickly. Unplugged ahoy!

it's called "upgrade", because it brings old systems to the spec of new systems, or to put it another way, new cards have a different software package and 4.5 puts the new package on an old card. that's why it's called 4.5 and not 5.0.

same here

...but I went electric recently with a G+L Strat (tribute series) - a computer manufactured Korean plank - but holy sh*t my face dropped slackjaw when I tried it in the shop... how can it be THAT good ?
