bx_digital bundle available !!! (bx1 and bx2)

WAIT IS OVER!!! bx1 and bx2 available!!!
Finally I am happy and proud to announce that we will deliver the bx1 / bx2 as a bundle (bx_digital) to CREAMWARE, and they will start selling it over the CW webshop for 598,- EUR from ... let´s say FTHIS RIDAY... OK?
Just to give them 1 or 2 days to release it...
CW is also just sending out press-releases, anouncing the bx_digital bundle for magazines, etc.
There will also be time-limited DEMO-versions available at http://www.creamware.de soon!*
Check it out and let us know... !!!*

It's a pretty good price, considering that you can easily pay 8000 euros for a good hardware mastering EQ =P

Yeah, but for me is a curious marketing strategy... the average prices for professional plugins in Scope enviroment are 198 euro each product.
I think that they could lower the price and allow more people to acquire the EQ.
The right marketing strategy is an equilibrium between higher price->few customer and lower price->more customer.
Sincerely, the quality is ok but I have some difficult to spend 600 euros for a couple of software plugin.
Same thought for TC PoCo prices and waves... I personal prefer the UAD policy.

Hardware costs 8000 euros because the components inside, for mastering, must be high quality, but in the software domain, add more DSPs is free.
I'm ok to pay the programmer for the work, but sincerely you cannot compare the develope costs with the hardware value.
Sadly, seems that the target of this project is the Pro market... it's only a choice of the producer.
I really don't know why a mastering EQ plugin must be more pricey compared to Minimax or Optimaster plugin i.e.
Only because is for MASTERING, and mastering tools MUST be expensive because are pro????

You have captured my thoughts eminardi.
Creamware users are an exclusive limited group anyway, to further limit your market by pricing at the top end does'nt make a whole lot of sense to me.
Maybe there will be a special introductory price???

I think if u want to sell more than 1 copies of tha plug-in u mast lower the price at 200/250 not a cent more!!

Funny you should mention the TC Powercore. The Sony Oxford EQ plugin for that platform is USD$600, so pretty much in the same price range.

And as nice a plugin the Oxford EQ is (it truely is,) the Brainworx one seems to be as nice, if not nicer (more knobs! =D)

i saw the demo at naam...
it's pretty impressive in concept, the eq action in stereo mastering keeps the center clear. this thing is very unusual, as different a product as the bbe sonic maximizer when it came out. i'm sad to see it so expensive, but it appears to be a very high-end tool, capable of putting that elusive final touch, perfect eq.

of course, i saw it in the naam environment, which is no place to judge ANYTHING(although sometimes you have to make decisions anyway, like the manne bass i bought my wife

). still, from the demo i saw, i'm not surprised by the price. there may be many who'll say that plugins will never be able to do REAL mastering and those who'll say that this ISN'T that plugin, but it's very close from what i've seen and heard.

the price is justified by the fact that it must've been a very long, involved developement as well as a innovative idea and the fact that it could make a reasonably skilled engineer significant money.

brainrox, can you explain to me what the hell this thing is? I still don't understand what it is. It looks like an eq.. but is it built on some special technology? Or is it simply just a very good mastering eq? The website isn't informative at all I'm afraid.

i have no idea what the hardware bx1 coctc, but if u are correct about 8000 euro, i cant see how 598 is expensive!

if Gibson or Lexicon for that matter launches a new guitar or FXC series, would you expect them to sell the harware version for 8000 euros WHILE SELLING A VSTI, CLAIMING IT HAD EQUAL QUALITY, FOR 598 euros???

u all cry mercy that this is "expensive"

maybe you just dont need it?

High-end plugins are VERY expensive. Bias Soundsoap Pro costs $600, the TC plate reverb plugin for Powercore costs $400, Digidesign's high-end EQ costs almost $800, and the Sony Oxford EQ for TDM costs over $800!! If the BX-1 is competing with those kinds of venerable, prestigious items, then it's pretty reasonable. We haven't really had truly high-end, big-studio-quality plugins on Scope before. Synths are in another class, of course.

It would be awesome if CreamWare started targeting the high-end market if they could get the sales to back it up. I'm also glad there are lower-grade products for us poor people as well.
