My Intel 865 Perl has died. My dealer tells me it won't be covered by warranty.... possible power surge damage....I just replaced my power supply thinking it was causing problems....(I had an Antec True Power..... just bad luck I guess)

OK.... I can live with that. My problem is, I can't find a board to replace it with. There aren't any decent 478 boards available in Australia.

Can anyone source one or suggest a source? I can get the Asus P4 800 SX. But I'm told this is not an Intel chipset. I've had rock solid performance from my intel mobo and I'm a bit scared to deviate. Recommendations?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks Gary. I saw a liquidator in the US had some 865 boards on ebay, but I was too late.

I appreciate the info.

These guys have some 478 boards. Good outfit too. Bought both my machines through them & delivered interstate.
