Can someone tell me if I will get ALL the mentioned plugins as an upgrade to 4.5 plus 98E special offer? Considering I dont own mix and master or synth and sampler packs. I own pulsar I and II however.
Creamware dont answer me.
It seemed like you have to own mix and master or synth and sampler packs to benefit from the entire list. Otherwise it looks like a much smaller list of plugins.
I really need 4896 mixer and masterverb pro plus pro-12. Thanks.

You will get what is mentioned as the 98€ upgrade offer.

Because you have two cards, you could also buy two 98€ offers, if it is good for you.

For those who haven't already the mentioned plugins, this "Chistmas offer" is highly interesting.

If you're not interested in the 98€ upgrade offer, and if you already own the v4.0, you can update to v4.5 at no cost, downloading the needed files from the public FTP mentioned by AndreD at the beginning of this thread.

With the 98€ offer you will not get all the plugins mentioned for buyers of the new v4.5 cards series. The others plugins can be bought separately.

BTW, it seems that we should not send too much emails to Creamware right now, and to be understanding why they cannot answer to all.

Hmmm.. there IS a change in 4.5:

The little yellow Scope Platform icon on the taskbar next to the clock is a square now. Wow, although hard to immagine, it became even more ugly...

Why ?
because there aren't a lot of people there to answer them and still run the company.

Since the developpers are not super busy, one person could at least do the mail no ?
CW should at least know if they want to make money on this one or not...

Hello to all of you!

I have read all the threads about Scope 4.5, and I have been left with a headache, swimming in a sea of confusion! (what a poet I am!)

I have three simple questions, and I would like to hear three simple answers:

1) Is there anything new, any bugs fixed, etc in the 4.5 software?
2) Can I use my existing version 4.0 keys with the 4.5 version, or do I need new ones [in order to use the plug-ins that I *already* have]?
3) If I pay the 98euros, what do I get more? I have two Pulsars II, and I have bought Vinco, Interpole, EDS16, Poison.. Do I get the Psy-Q, Optimaster, and Masterverb Pro?

Thanks

a & b) Like Stardust said...

c) I'm one of the few that can say without speculating what's in the upgrades for your case since I've got the same setup and upgraded both to 4.5 (S&S & M&M).
Another user (Eminardi have the exact same setup and updatedc both as well).

The situation is :
for S & S (without owning the original S & S)
http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... forum=5&44

So I and the other two people that reported to have it (Bosone and Eminardi)got :
SBC
Master Verb Pro
B-2003
Pro-12
EDS 16i
SB404
STS 4000
Graph EQ
Poison

for M& M ( (without owning the original M & M)
http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... tart=40&44

Interpole
SBC
VDAT
Mixers
EDS 16i
SB404
Poison
Modular II
STS 3000 & 4000
Graph EQ

However :

Eminardi :
.../...
Howewer I really don't know why I've not received the whole S'n'S pack, because I've 2 old Pulsar II, all WITHOUT EXPANSION PACKS, in one I've purchased the M'n'M and I've received from scratch the FULL M'n'M pack (MasterVerb Pro, OptiMaster, PSY Q, Vinco, GraphEQ/s, Vocodizer, Mixer Package II, VDAT, etc); in the second card I've received only the S'n'S update and not the whole pack (NO Minimax, Modular III, Vectron, STS-5000)

Ok, is clear that there is a mistake, but I don't know if the mistake is the whole pack M'n'M or the "riduced" pack in S'n'S!!!

Anyway I'm so happy for the gift of Mix and Master pack and really amazed from Pro-12 and B-2003.
.../...

Me :
"Just got the keys for the M&M pack. Eminardi, maybe you've just been lucky or they changed their mind on the way.
Absolutely no trace of a Vinco, Psy Q or Optimaster. Just the same devices I've got with the S&S upgrade and the Interpole (wich I don't need/want).
Be warned guys ! Don't buy this unless this is absolutely what you wan't (half a real M&M pack).
Compared to S&S upgrade, this one is a very, very bad buy.

We needed somebody taking the risk here guys. I'm sorry it's been me.
I think it has tamed my enthusiasm, to say the least. "

So it looks like indeed some weird situation is happening for the M&M pack wich is yet to be solved.
I've mailed to CW about this but no answer for now.

2 :- Scope 4.5 works for us without a 4.5 key. We still have all the xtra software & packs that we had before.

3 :- On installation of 4.5 you can see the missing keys which come with the new bundle deal. You don't 'need' them per se. The bundle deals it would seem are an 'option' (at bargain special offer price) This, as Stardust points out is unauthorised info. IE - not straight from the horses mouth

check out the Scope 4.5 'readme important notes' .... <a href="http://www.si-rus.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ ... l">HERE</a>

Should clear up a few questions & also some of the unauthorised info around here
You guessed it !! The install notes don't mention any 'paid' upgrade being necessary !!
They simply suggest installing with your existing alkeys... or so it would seem.

Having read those important notes again, they actually don't answer many of our questions. For example there is no specific mention of using your existing Version 4 key !!

Our system howerver, seems to be running 4.5 without the new 4.5 key & as mentioned, we have everything we had before with the addition of new DSP files. No problems thus far ...

Just loaded 4.5.
Bought MnM package but no PsyQ and no Vocodizer.

Got Interpole .

So why don't I have these devices.
Don't know how many Mix packages there were that Antar's on about.

Creamware are not clear on this.

says clearly
http://scope.creamware.de/scope_project.htm

so where are my devices. Why would I pay 95 Euro if I'm not getting anything and upgrade is supposed to be free?

Come on Creamware

Personnaly I think (didn't got a reply since wednesday):

Whichever patch you choose (M&M, S&S), You'll have what is BEING added to this patch by the 4.0->4.5 update. (Was like that in the old days, if I am correct!).
Which mean:
- Old packs added (Pro FX,...),
- New stuffs (Pro 12,...).

Kind of you'll receive what is given to regular packs owner(S&S or M&M).

Best regards

you did not buy the M&M package really. You bought an upgrade for that package. With the new Scope 4.5 the packs have been extended to include some more devices. This is the upgrade you pay for. If you do not own any of the packs, you do not get the pack if you upgrade but you can still choose whether or not you would like the upgrade for the S&S pack or the M&M pack, both include different devices. (S&S upgrade has Pro 12 ans B2003, M&M upgrade has Interpole).

But yes, CWA has presented it rather confusingly. Either on purpose or unwittingly.

Thank you guys for your replies!

Ok.. then I ll be wise and wait before spending any of my money on this...

Just a couple of my thoughts: [ok, I know nobody asked them ]
To me, it seems, that CWA, as we know it, and its wonderful platform is reaching its end. I dont know if they ll come up with something new, although I doubt it... This 4.5 "upgrade" and all this confusion relating to it is a very bad move ethically from CWA, but it is justifiable if one takes into account that it is a company that is closing and they try to "liquid" money in every way they can...

I feel sad saying all that, but that is what I believe.

In my next PC purchase, when the technology moves on, I will buy another soundcard. But I will not stop using Scope with this PC - more or less happily - as I ve used it for the past 3 years.

P.S. Amiga and Atari were both great.. but they disappeared as many other great things.. Is it because of the hard competition? Because of marketing? Bad luck?.. I dont know.. In the case of CWA, as a greek saying says "they will sleep in the way they did their bed".. Pity...

The same thoughts have also crossed my mind. Lets hope that's not the case! But it certainly does not look to god, especially since they don't rely seem to bother straiten all the question marks out, and that's certainly not god PR. A big part of doing business is all about relating, and caring for those relations that you have to your customers. And the way Creamware is doing it now is not the way to show your trusty clients/customers that you plan to have a longer relation with them. But as I said earlier, lets hope that's not the case!

But it says pick one of these packages.

Why don't they state what each person has by directing them to their page on Creamware site.

It should say if your Key says you have SnS1 you get this and if you have SnS2 you get that.

I don't even work as their distributor but see there deal is unclear and wrong.Wrong in the sense that they are showing us the candy but not giving it to us.

Not happy and will cancel order one way or another.

CREAMWARE remember these goods can be return if customers aren't satisfied just like any other.
Make it clear what you are selling.

People who haven't bought yet don't until they make it clear.

How many different versions of these packages are there.

I want my PsyQ etc which is what I was led to believe I was buying.

Hey I'm agreeing with you that it is unclear. However, if you do read carefully it doesn't say anywhere that you get the packs if you don't have them already, although yes, that's what I thought at first too.

of course it's intended this way - and it IS fundraising.
But since it's reasonable priced (considering what many have paid) and a lot of users benefit from the offer, it also qualifies as 'xmas special'.

I just had this cellphone ad in the newspaper - FREE navigation included 0,- Euro
small print on the bottom of the page, 6 pt type: 1 Euro per route

Ever noticed Peugeots latest TV campaign ?
They offer a HUGE bonus
...if you order a car that is 'available now'
which effectively means one of the models they have standing around (for how long?) - no choice of whatever, not exactly what a 'regular' car aquisition is supposed to be.

we have this beer slogan 'the first brewery which applied the Pilsen method exclusively and still does today...'

suggesting that it's based on a very, very long tradition (something appreciated in Germany...)
infact the slogan only states they were the first who didn't apply any other method - there may be lots of breweries with a longer tradition, they happened to have a more diverse product line. You can BET that their ads departement did a thorough search on the fact...

this could be continued ad infinitum, so why do you expect a small audio company to act like they were located on the moon ?

cheers, Tom
