As many STS users feel a bit `unsupported´ but won´t give up their STS5000 due its excellent stretch algo´s, I thought it would be a nice step to bring out the algo´s as an effect device(s), only.

Also a modular module with this functions would be a great add, or?
I am sure many users would like to get those stretch functions but without another STS sampler.

about the time stretch,

afaik that algo is NOT DSP based, it's a native routine on the CPU.
Possibly due to the reasons djmicron points at.

cheers, tom

Indeed... Realtime timecompression is, untill we have a predictive plugin , a contradictio in terminis. In theory, you should be able to stretch, but then what with the accumulated left-over? Throw it into memory or disk? What if Scope runs for days in a row? I hope you understand the problems this involves...
