Finally getting a new Scope-nest

- anybody see any probs with this setup?

Intel boxed 3ghz p4 Prescott

Intel D915GAVL

antec case w/ 400watt true power supply

corsair twinx 3200 1gb

wd 160gb caviar

wd 40gb caviar

cheap dvd-rw

Gforce FX5200 128mb Dual View

19" Viewsonic 12ms LCD monitor

MS Keyboard & mouse

MS XP Professional

Based on a garyb basic setup, I think it should be o.k.

Disabling onboard vid & audio this should be cool as a cucumber, no?

Haven't bought a machine for 5 years - can't believe how cheap a good Scope PC can be these days

Hi,
my recommendation is:
ASUS P5AD 2 E Premium (775, 925XE)

All the best,
Andre

Thanks Andre - I've been looking for one of those boards here in Australia without a lot of luck!

Is the 925XE chipset essential, or will the 925X do the job? P5AD2 Premium boards are plentiful over here, but do you think I should order and wait for the P5AD2-E?

Cheers, W

OK, thanks again fellas!

I've gone for the P5AD2-E Deluxe - seems to be the same as P5AD2-E Premium except for onboard Wireless LAN, Dual Gigabit LAN,Silicon Image Sil3114R RAID controller & WinDVD.
