Just wondering if anyone have tried the new Intel cpu's with the EM64T technology.

I have bought Intel D925XCV and a P4 3.2GHz / 2MB L2 cache, EM64T version.

So now I wonder if there is any other pitfalls other than putting a too powerful videocard in the machine.

EMT64 will not work until creamware releases x64 drivers.

gee, i thought that rambus has had 1066mhz for a long time....i doubt that the difference will be as dramatic as you are hoping....

this is a great example of the way that stuff is sold.
for a long time, ddr has been the standard, even though rambus worked better. nobody really noticed the difference in performance between the two because the software and cpu couldn't use the memory any faster anyway. now, they are selling you the same spec as three years ago for the same price and it's called progress. twice.

that's two pointless upgrades.
the computer ALREADY does enough work, that if you can't do something first-rate, then you just don't know how.
period.

i'm using a 3.2ghz northwood.
dpending on your motherboard revision, you could use something in that range as well. that would be a nice upgrade for not too much money.
