I'm wondering, what's the situation for 3rd party developers right now? I can understand CW not having enough power to develop anything. How about 3rd party dev people? Do they have the newest DP package? Or did half of them quit because they have the older version? Or do we pretty much have everything we need? (I'm guessing we do)
It seems like the heat is extremely low on the dev end. (mehdi's black box and more recent contributions are totally awesome tho)

I'm not sure. I remember hearing about some people not getting the latest DP package, and therefore not being able to continue developing. But that was over an year ago so I'm not sure how that turned out.
The latest thing is that CW released the free SDK 4.0 for people to make free devices, which is what I have. The older developers are still stuck with DP 3.1, since CW hasn't come out with a 4.0 version of the you-can-make-money software. The older developers are really mad, but there isn't anything they can do about it, unfortunately.
I hope CW continues to support the 3rd
party developers. They all made a tremendous
investment that needs to be honored.
Hopefully, CW is working on tools to
enhance the DP & not ignoring the issue.
yeah, I guess so. It's kind of ironic that the free version is newer than the paid version of DP.. What's the difference between the 2 versions anyway? Compatibility issues?
I think DP can import things SDK can't.
Can't think of something though.
But if it's fully compattible , DP-ers are able to create devices for SFP4.0 aren't they?
