Instead of toggling between screen saving settings I find much more practical to shut off and on the monitor by hand....does it have drawbacks?

also it consumes little more power )
but during work it is more rational to turn of f any widoze-automatics, because it always happes so that singer etc. starts his best take exactly the time your monitor has just turned off

when in a hurry I often shut my two (10 years old) monitors off by hand, back home I put them on and work along my song
I must admit my 20" Sony has a high peep and one collor sometimes tends to disappear
And I myself got infected by a serious cold, so take care...
