Hmmmm, no, not a Solaris Lite....but that does tell me something about the potential confusion of using the same/similar knobs and graphics for a new product!
Actually, this is a shot of a custom device I'm building. Anyone care to guess again? (On closer scrutiny, you should be able to identify from which synth this is modeled...)

This is modeled on the Waldorf WAVE...but I don't know if I will be selling it 'as is' or what, as it is a custom job at the moment.
re: Solaris Lite - well, there is still an idea in the works...but maybe not on this platform!

re: emulating Waldorf GUI - no, I've thought about it, but it's not very practical, as I've found going through this design. If you look at the screen shot, you'll see that actually, things are layed out in the same general way as the Wave, except I decided to put all of the mod sources/paths right next to their associated areas, instead of everything gathered in the main Performance screen area, as the Wave would do. I don't want to have an exact emulation of the GUI for a number of reasons, one of them being it's not really possible at this time to emulate the Wave <I>exactly</I>...for example, there's mod sources called 'More Keys', Less Keys', and 'Playspeed'. There's nothing in the Scope DSP library that will calculate those things at the moment, and I think some major custom coding would need to be done to get these functions. There's a number of situations like this....

Does this mean you want the heavily zippered envelopes and pitch modulation? When I sat with the Wave and went through things, I was surprised at how much of this there was, especially for such an expensive instrument.On 2005-03-14 11:09, Man-Machine wrote:

Speed
In order to measure the voice update speed I played a rectangular wave without any modulation through the fully opened filter. The VCA envelope was set to:
* Attack 64
* Decay 127
* Sustain 127
* Release 0
* Modulation of the VCA envelope attacks by the VCA envelope. Value +64

Length of the 9 easy to spot volume graduations (last one at 187 msec minus the first one at 20 msec = 167 msec) divided by 9 gradations = 0,01878 updates per second , about 53 Hz.
This is not high tech, but you wont notice this on this example. But you will notice this on all pitch modulations such as envelope pitchbend and long glide.

but I haven't been that far away, as a look at http://www.zargmusic.com/oasyspci/ will reveal.
