I want to set my computer to standard mode.
So during the install of WinXP I push the F5 button to change the settings from acpi to standard. After some driver loading the installer says there's no harddisk detected.
If I want the installer to see the harddisk I have to give him the raid driver in the beginning (push F6 to install raid devices or something)
Well..

How can I put my pc in standard mode when I also have to install these drivers. I only can push one button at a time
Tricky..

As far as I know the only way to do that is to have the RAID driver handy on a floppy (remember those?) and obviously you will need a floppy drive in the machine.

Otherwise, get hold of a normal IDE drive so you can install the OS onto it, then set up your SATA-RAID after Windows has been installed.

In any case, if the board is a recent-ish one you shouldn't bother with Standard PC as it is designed to work in ACPI mode.

Is your question just about being able to press F5 *and* F6 at the same time? You should be able to press both! It should give you the kernel selector and the prompt for the RAID driver. Just hit F5 and F6 wildly during "Setup is inspecting this computer's hardware configuration" or whatever it says (memory fails me right now).
