Hi again all,

It has been a crazy and hectic New Year, so far, for me. I have not put the 'wavelength devices' shop back in service, yet -- still trying to gauge whether there is any new interest + get some details sorted out.

I have moved house/ studios and my email is changed, for the time being if you need to contact me then here at planetZ would be the best bet.

I am proud to announce that my album 'giving up the ghost' will be released internationally this Tuesday, February 15th, on n5MD records (under my subtractiveLAD moniker). My music has been keeping me very busy as of late and this is the reason you haven't seen any new developments from me for the platform (sorry!).

My new album was created entirely on SCOPE (with other sequencers, etc) and features basically all my device designs, most of John Bowen's devices + CreamWare's mixers and effects.

If you are interested in supporting a fellow SCOPE-brother, or just want to hear some new SCOPE-made electronic music, please check out the album info:

SoCal radio program 'digitalnimbus', on KUCI 88.9 FM (Irvine, CA. + Online), has picked up the album and has featured some of the tracks in shows over the past month or so -- they archive all of their past shows here:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/digitalnimbus/

Here's to a great new year of SCOPE using/ abusing and thanks for your past and future support!

Best regards,

Stephen

Hi Stephen,

I listened to the mp3 previews and they sound wonderfull! As good as your synths are  The music made me think of Faultline sometimes, which I highly respect for his organic sound. Your music has this same organic quality.

Any idea if your CD will be distributed in the Netherlands?

cheers,
vincent

Hey Wavelength , cool music. It reminds me of my time with the commodore 64. With all those nice intro's.

Nice!

grt,
Casper

there are a lot of analogue + bit-crushed SID-style timbres on the album, along with electronic bursts of noise... it's a fairly *electric* & computer-twisted record. in contrast, i went for a much more organic and emotional structure for the music, itself. i wanted to mix some apparent opposites, bringing together the things that i like: old-school melodic sensibilities (and analogue tweakiness) mixed with new-school editing and programming. the thing that is tricky, when writing melodic analogue synth music, is to avoid it sounding too retro or nostalgic.

thanks for listening!

Where are you playing on the 18th?

I missed your last gig and don't want to miss you again.

Hey, you made a news at http://www.side-line.com/ date : March 7 but I think you need to be registered to read news that are no more upfront.
Good luck with your show !
