Not for me.
I stick with 3.1c, as I hate the yellow logo.

A bug is fixed that you don't need to change the name on the live bar before saving a project to have it changed when you reload it, but I like the old look much more and I didn't notice any other improvement, at least in my system.

Strange, I really like the new logo - the "@" was so... 1992! It was one of the ugliest logos I've ever seen. But I still don't like the interface design of SFP, looks a little to "toyish" for me.

But other than that, there's not really much that changed from 3.1c to 4.0...

How different can be tastes! I really like Scope interface, It's the most confortable, logical, relaxing and "beautiful" gui for me...

My problem is not with the logo itself, I only hate that yellow spot on my screen, it's like somebody constantly calling you while you're concentrated on something. If it was of the same colours of the rest of the interface, it would be very nice.

Hey!

Thank you very much!
all people

So, I don´t update my system.

Really, I was worrying that I was getting lost of improvements of performance.

Regards to all

4.0 fixed one thing for me : I could not get the wave source module to work in 3.1c. I upgraded to 4.0 and it started working again - it was a real pain to play a wave file before! 4.0 seems to work fine for me, but I had no problems with 3.1c either (except for stuff like STS which doesn't seem to work any better in 4.0)

I think the Live Bar works a little better. I used to have problems where certain functions wouldn't work sometimes in the Live Bar, and that doesn't happen anymore with 4.0.

Do I need big knowledges of programming to use the sdk Software?

What languages of programming do I need to know to do it?

Main advantage is the better wave driver.
Lower latency and better directx comaptibility.
Better wave driver!? Their KS driver didn't seem any more stable for me. Just as buggy as before.

Programming knowledge tends to be a bit useless with the SDK =P It's alot closer to digital electronics. Knowing about AND/OR/etc/TTL/CMOS gates is alot more useful.

Also, the SFP4.0 wave driver has been incredibly stable for me, games used to crash a bit once in a while, now with a clean XP/SFP4.0 install it's been 100% stable, no crash whatsoever when playing games/listening to music/movies/etc.

Yeah, regular wave stuff like Winamp and URU and other things work just fine. It's Sonar kernel-streaming that still doesn't work properly. ASIO's fine, of course, but Sonar has a couple of issues with CreamWare's ASIO....
