I'm considering purchasing an Infiite Vortex DAW with CWA card. Have any of you had experience using the Focusrite Octopre with the A/D output card as the primary interface for the Scope card? I will use it as both a line and Mic converter.
Would the A16 Ultra give better results, aside from more simulateous inputs?
Focusrite Octopre as A/D interface for Scope
No experience with the Octopre, but the preamps are the thing you would buy that for.
A16 has no phantom, compression etc., it is simply a great sounding converter.
If you already have enough quality preamps, then get A16
edit - perhaps i'm on the wrong track - if you already own the Octopre, then i'd think scope should slave to it fine
