something else i should note. you need to set one of your digital devices up as the MASTER clock and the others as slaves.

hope this helps.

abre: i officially have an elektra, and there are hardware i/o modules for it. i am using these, specifically the s/pdif source and destination modules.

i imagine the luna modules would work as well. though i haven't tried.

now...it wasn't clear to me what rca cable was the input and what was the ...

well...i sort of inadvertantly picked up 2 of these cables yesterday for a completely different purpose. they are just plain audio...but, when it struck me not long ago of this fact i tried one out, and hey! it works just fine.

though time will tell if i'll have any problems.

btw, what ohm rating ...

thanks sam.

particularly for the ohm info. i vaguely remembered that thats what made video quality cabling, the ohm rating. at least this is what i remember reading.

i've considered making my own cables. i had a bad experience last time i picked up the soldering iron though! heh. i figure once ...

hey all,

i'm looking to get the digital i/o running on my luna II. its on a trs (i imagine?) 1/8" female plug though...

any ideas on where to pick up a cable to adapt to rca/spdi/f input and output?

as i understand it, one shouldn't use audio grade cabling for digital signals, video grade is ...

about unpacking the sfp archive and distributing the contents.

this i'm a little confused about. from what is left after unstuffing the archive, everything is uncompressed and placed in a ...

no i haven't. creamware contacted me the other day and said that they could do little to help cause of my dinosaur of a machine (7500 w/ g3 300), but that they did know of others using sfp on older macs under the minimum spec they state. their advice was to try 9.2.2, i did...again, and still no ...

hey, thanks for the suggestions folks.

i went ahead and upgraded to 9.2.2 and thinned out my extensions even more...to no effect, the installer still doesn't see my elektra. i think this is the root of my problem. just for reference I DO have an elektra installed in there and luna 2.52 does see it ...

hello all,

i recently just downloaded sfp 3.1a and attempted to install it, but for whatever reason the install process isn't happening.

i'm running a powermac 7500 w/ g3 300, 256mb, os 9.1 and an elektra card. i was using a twin turbo 128 graphics card but took it and its drivers out in the hopes ...

hey andy,

thanks for the reply, and the kind words.

i sent an email but i just noticed you said you only had 50mb of web space...that isn't going to be enough to host either 3.1a or the m2 update.

the design and media website has only 3.1c, but wow was it a quick dl!

thanks though for offering ...

i just learned i can update to sfp for free minus the new devices, but since i've learned this i've been unable to download any of the updates, all i get is "connection failure has occured". this has been happening the last 3 days. the one thing i have been able to download (new manual) was going at ...

just tossing ideas out...

how about a module which you could set a audio level input threshold whereby a gate signal was released?

purty simple, but could be put to intricate uses.

i'm all for some better delay modules as well, smoothly modulatable delay times via mod input and manual control ...

thats just how it is now. there is nothing one can do short of just not changing the delay time to avoid clicking.

hopefully our delay module will get an update to remedy this, as well as adding a mod input, in the future - among other things.

i to have noticed sync'ing to midi beat clocks to ...

jopo: you ought to be able to click on the knob and arrow back and forth for very fine changes in value.

this sort of fine setting of parameters i believe works with all knobby or dially controls.

best.
