Well, I don't have the IO Enabler, and I've been through a complete clean.
However, I think the problem now may be that it adds 8 MIDI ports by default ?? They're in the driver file (which I previously deleted), or at least seem to be.
Anyway, reformat is happening by the weekend, so I'll not ...

Re: Completely stuck
about the midi ports: you have to change the number o ports of your scope device driver (properties if i am correct).
That's the way I increased the number, but when decreasing it again, Windows doesn't seem to 'lose' the extra ones. It's not a huge issue as I'm due to re-install Windows in the ...

Re: Completely stuck
Thanks.
I've tried both the things you mention.
I think it may be something about 64bit, as I was using Reaper x64, and perhaps the bridging on that doesn't like the 32bit XTC plugins.
Having now tried switching across to Ableton Live, it's mostly working... I'm struggling to get audio, but I can ...

Completely stuck
Okay, so I've slowly been getting used to my 14DSP board for a while, and decided to try XTC mode.
I've enabled it in settings, I've ensured the plugins are there, I've re-installed several times, and still no go. I've read whatever I can, but I'm utterly lost.

Re: Windows 7 x64 compatibility?
That doesn't really matter quite so much. The 64bit driver is the main essential, so the cards actually work.mailheist wrote:All sounds good, but will it be like UAD, eg the driver is 64 bit but the plugins are not?

Just because you have no personal use for a 64bit system, doesn't mean there isn't one.
Not everyone has their PC dedicated to the needs of Scope and nothing else.

basicaly... RAM.
scope has no problem.
sequencers and software have the ram limit of 2gb. usually less.........
the 3gb switch is not a good idea since it leaves less ram(1gb) for the system.
And why so much rum? Even good native samplers only loads into ram the first seconds of each sample, and ...

First10 didn't work for me, so either they've all gone or it's broken.

Has there been any thought to 'recording' videos of the sessions and providing them for sale (perhaps cheaper as they're non-interactive) afterwards ?

£288 for Flexor 3 (£117) + Mod IV (£171) (shame Share-it gives such a crap currency conversion)

Re: Modular IV on SC shop.
I'm ready to buy Modular IV just as soon as they release the 64-bit drivers. Until that point, it's not really much use to me, and whilst I don't mind paying the full price, I want to know it will work with my main system.

Re: What are the "Must Have"s for a Scope pro ?
So I'd be set for a year or two with:
Modular IV
Flexor III
Pro-Wave & RDII modules
SpaceF Blackbox II
& all the free devices I can find.
(+ the 5.0 SDK when it arrives)
This sounds like a plan

Re: What are the "Must Have"s for a Scope pro ?
Oh, and as a PS. you may find that although hardware modulars are very nice, that you won't be able to do half the stuff that Modular IV + FleXor3 gives you, so even if you go the hardware route i think you'll find many uses for your Scope still.

Thanks for the replies so far.
I should have mentioned a couple more things - one is that this is a (very) part-time hobby for me, so whilst I like hoarding the gear, I'm probably very much a beginner in so far as knowing what I want. Also, I have a UAD-2 Quad for mixing & mastering (alongside far ...

What are the "Must Have"s for a Scope pro ?
Hi,
So I have my first Scope board (the 15DSP pro) with Scope 5, and am hoping to experiment in the modular side of things mostly.
Modular 4 is the only item definitely on my list, with Flexor being likely, but what else would you recommend I definitely don't miss ?

I run a Gigabyte-EX58-UD5 with 12GB of Patriot Viper (@1066 as it's only specced to 1600 for 6GB) with a core i7, and it's a beast.
