Dear John
I feel bad that all I ever donated was 20 bucks or something like that. Is there any way that I can make a last minute donation? Please post your reply here rather than by PM. I think that there are thousands of disciples out there who want to know...
All the best!

Re: A16Ultra - would Big Ben improve it's sound?
As long as the topic is external clock generators, it won't work, because zlink operation demands the scope system to be the clock generator, not the clock slave.
Proviso: Again, this is how I remember the constraints before I sold my A16U. Someone please prove me wrong

Re: Re:
the A16 via z-link is VERY good.
Janni may very well be right(i'm sure he is), still, you might write to Ralf and verify whether or not the z-link connection and a syncplate can be used together with the bnc clock input on the A16.....
Did someone verify this? I have 5 digital devices connected ...

It does, which is good for me as Flexor is more or less the core of my studio.Liquid EDGE wrote:Does flexor 3 play nice on xite-1?

I dream about OSX too. And I also dream about more I/O. Therefore: My Xite-1 upgraded with Madi + some highend MADI to analog converter = YES! ( Another nice option would be XTDM'ing another Xite-1 to get more I/O + DSP!)Jerome wrote:Yes! (But first priority for me personally remains OSX)

I guess there could be an answer to this in the preliminary Scope 6 download package. According to the automatic e-mail response from Sonic Core, they will send a download link when the software package is ready

Re: Xite-1 D Ongoing Problems
I used to get that copy violation message frequently. To make a long story short, the problem diappeared after I made sure that all my studio equipment (in particular the xite and the pc) is connected to only one (grounded) power strip.
Re: Mac OSX
I'm just guessing here. I don't know Parallels but when I read their User Guide, it seems that audio in the guest OS (Windows) can be set up when a sound card is working under the host OS (MAC OSX). My guess is that you would need a MAC OSX driver for the Xite, but such a driver is non-existing...

Totally agree. I use an Akai MPC-4000, which is the heart of my studio.Neutron wrote:Its all in the computer, which is generally quite horrible.
Hypothetically, if my Xite-1 had something like a built in touchscreen (+HDD etc.), I could make music happily without any pc.
And yes, I know this won't happen

Re: Scope and Pro tools 9?
Hi. Anybody had any succes with scope as asio driver for pt 9?
Or in xtc mode?
Thanks:)
Due to my new job and lack of time, I have scratched the surface only, but I can confirm that pt9 seems to work with the asio of my xite-1 Scope 5.1 v 2709 x64 in SFP mode (I don't use XTC).

if you haven't touched modular setups before, Scope is a great way to learn about the individual module types so that you can prioritize all your future shopping in the expensive land of analog modular, Serge, Schippman etc. Keep in mind that you will probably need some AD converters if you want to ...

Does anyone use Scope and Pro Tools HD together?
I like the idea because Pro Tools HD is dedicated dsp with "zero latency", but the new Pro Tools native HD pci-e card could be an option too if it covers my needs:

My keyfile has a separate entry for Scope 5.1 - so I guess it is a requirement. I haven't tried to see what happens when instalingl Scope 5.1 without this key entry though. Maybe someone else can help here?
