Anyway - I use an RME Hammerfall 9636/52 which gives me an additional 3 ADATs. Its lightning fast (< 1.5ms latency) and works a treat along side my Pulsar on W2k. I presume however that you want them for other IO cause the RME wont work with Pulsar unless you ...

Well I finally sorted the problem out and to help others I'm posting this:-

Intermittent clock issues with Pulsar II and V3.x software on A7M 266 mobo and WIN98 and ASIO Drivers cause Cubase to crash ...

When I try and install the Pulsar drivers on XP I get "The class installer has denied the request to upgrade ...."

I think I might take my card out and give it a clean. Giving it a shove seemed to dramatically reduce the ASIO problems I have.

This is just one of the problems I am having when Pulsar clock source goes spdif for no apparant reason. No matter what I set the software sample rate to be Pulsar always seemed to insist that there was an spdif word clock source even though nothing was plugged in it. This totaly threw the ASIO ...

So:-

1)Spdif has nothing connected
2)Nothing changed on the software front

I'm pretty sure now its the card cause when I put light pressure to the side of the multicore connector the spdif clock signal disappears from spdif and appears correctly on adat. The card then works fine ...
