Well, tell me if I'm wrong here, but Sonic Core had an XITE-1 product that they originally took to Messe, then after lots of interest & LOTS of suggestions on how to improve the product, they wisely decided to listen to suggestions & have implemented most of what was suggested here on PlanetZ ...

I think Sonic Core is going to need a lot of support for the platform in the way of slick looking/sounding software and a rather massive advertising budget to make much of a wave. Most of the software no matter how great it sounds looks VERY dated. People that are younger than me will look at this ...

I can vouch first hand that the presonus converters are very good for the price. IMHO they are more accurate than the converters on my Pulsar2.

Yes, I guess it would be easier to think of "input" as "send" and "output" as "return" when you are Scope-centric.

I will try that device again if need be as it may at some point be an easier way to go.

The External Effects device would be ideal for this. Although it won't solve the latency issue. It's usually a set latency from 64, 128, 256 etc + additional plug-in latency. Use the free SD800 to delay everything else.

Algorithmix Red and Blue, Flux Empure, Refined Audiometrics Laboratory come to mind.

In short.
There is no 'native only' plugin that sounds as good as the quality scope plugs, while being flexibly embedded into a full studio system with outstanding effects, synths and mixers.
There is no modular synth system in native world with the sound of scope.

I think you can:

send your aux to ASIO source and dest.
Connect a (slim) VST host to the ASIO.
route in the VST host the VST effects to ins and outs.

But you have to live with the latency and the saving of presets.
