There is no way to temporary stop power supply to the pci bus?


if you cut power, the dsps unload! other than heat in your case, why are you worried?

Only that extreme heat the may cause damage to the card over the years..
I know the dsp wont work when the power is off - I dont use my card 24\7 ...

creamware card 15dsp cause global warming

Hi guys,
I have a creamware 15dsp card and it creates heat, a lot more then normal pci cards (or airplain engines).
Is there is anything that can be done to make it use less power or shut it off somehow when im not recording?

OK ,i mean, i hate creamware now but thats what i should do :lol:

can someone please answer:
i have adat in both soundcards but i have never used it.
Does a normal optical cable link them properly or do i need a special cable for it?

I have a scope 15dsp pci card (with the ADAT inteface) and i would like to get your help for using it.
I have failed to get it to work the way i wanted with the manual.

I also have another audio interface for recording with digital and analog ins\outs which works with ASIO.

I just wanted to ask if the stereo analog i\o on the luna 2 are also require an adapter like the spdif output in order to be connected with a stereo device(which has 2 different mono input ports and 2 different mono output ports)?

Hi thank you.
I have taken a look on the "magama" even before.
It seems to connect to the motherboard via pci and give me 7 extra pci slots

That mean that each one of the slots will be extreamly slow. no?
the PCI speed is about 500 mega per sec...
So each pci slot in "magama" will be abot 70... am ...

In my mother board i have 3 slots (im using them all).
And i wish to buy another creamware card...
I have understood that there is a way to connect the two cards together
can it be done without more pci slots?

but it looks like an 1\4" analog Adaptor

Hi,

I have scope luna and i wish to connect an effect proccessor to it via digital ports.

In my luna card i only got 1 spdif output port (that i guess is also an input).
In my effect processor i have diffrent input and output spdif ports.

I have tried to read the manual and understood nothing ...
