Indeed, I'm impressed with their speed. Last week I asked for the allkeys file for my old Luna/Elektra card, and he replied in less than 10 minutes. More companies should have that level of support. For my money, it's worth quite a bit. =)

Re: Ownership transfer.

1)How do I go on about actually owning the serial for myself, so that way when I need support or recover lost keys I can send an email to Ralf and then legitimise my request for keys and SonicCore platform V5

With the risk of running off-topic again, I agree. I'm not using Logic though, but Cubase really gives me the chill sometimes. :S

Then suddenly it doesn't work with a one particular Steinberg update - who do you think has the buggy software in that scenario?

I agree it's more *likely* that the problem lies with Steinberg, but it is by no means certain. In any case, it is all hypothetical. We can't know who's fault it is ...

Facebook is no more devious and evil than the rest of the "social net". You can go to any community site anywhere and you will always find people taking advantage of others. The same rules of caution apply to Facebook as to everywhere else: Use your personal details sparingly or not at all, don't ...

How you can blame soniccore/creamware for this is beyond my mind.

I'm certainly not blaming SonicCore. I'm not blaming anyone. I'm merely pointing out that there is a bug with Cubase 4.1 and Scope. Steinberg are saying the problem lies with the Scope drivers, and SonicCore are saying that the ...

I was running the same setup before; one Scope Project (as master) and one Scope Home with the Luna 2496 I/O-box on the Home card's Z-Link. It worked fine, although there was interference and ground noise introduced by the I/O-box, which I've since eliminated through using an A16 Ultra over ADAT ...

I don't think my message got through to anyone in here. My point was that the Scope platform is *hardware*. The drivers should be made available for free, as they are with any other hardware.
I don't expect to have to pay for drivers so that I can use my scanner in Vista, or my drawing tablet, or ...

I know people with 4.5 don't have to pay. I have 4.0.

And I'm perfectly calm. I might be annoyed, but I'm calm. :)

So yes if there is already a vista 32bit, OSX and Linux support i would vote for a 64bit port using spare resources right now and immediately.

I can see the point in having OSX support, as it seems to be a popular OS in sound studios (for some reason I'm afraid I'll never truly understand).

I ...

Well, first of all, they *did* charge money for the Scope 3.0 upgrade, then they released 4.0 free to everyone, even to those who *did* pay for 3.0, so in essence it was pointless for me to pay for 3.0 since I could've just waited and gotten 4.0 for free. There was no new functionality in 3.0 that I ...

DAWs will work nicely in 32bit native processing with XP and Vista for years as far as I would see it.

I disagree. We're at a wall with 32 bit computing. 32 bit machines are already at the point where they can't utilize all RAM in the system. I've got 4 gigabytes of RAM in my PC but my OS can ...

SonicCore charging money for a *driver*?

This may be discussed somewhere else, so before you flame me, I'm sorry if I posted this superfluously.

I've already expressed my concerns about the need for a 64 bit Vista driver for the Scope platform, but something else just occured to me; SonicCore are charging money for Scope 5.0 and the ...

Why isn't 64 bit Vista support included in this poll?

That's even more important than a PCI-E card, and that's no small step either. Both would be ideal, but if I had to settle for one, I'd go with 64 bit support first.

Cheers!

WTB: A16 Ultra

I'm very interested in purchasing an A16 Ultra. I already own one of these babies and am very keen on expanding my I/O capabilities ASAP.

If you've got one you want to get rid of, please contact me!

I'm reachable at anders(at)vinja(dot)com.

I live in Gothenburg, Sweden.

PS. If you've got a ...
