Digitising Vinyl

Hi,

Am I right in thinking that I have to connect my turntable to my hi-fi amp and use the tape-line-outs to the soundcard to digitise my vinyl recordings? i.e. I can't go straight from the turntable RCA outs to my mixer then to the soundcard can I?
Yep...sure...I could set this up and find out ...

Hi,

Being far away does not worry me. As long as the Luna II card is in good working order and the cost is not too expensive.

Please let me know how much you want for the card.

Cheers,

Neil

Thanks for the advice. So far I have had no luck in finding a 2nd hand card in Australia.
What do you think would be a reasonable price (in Euros)??

Thanks,

Neil

What is a good replacement for my Luna II card?

Hi,

My Luna II card has officially died.

I need to get a new card but I don't want to upgrade my computer if I can help it. I'd also like to be able to use my creamware breakout box.

Can someone suggest a replacement card?

Thanks,

Neil

Hi,

Thanks for these responses.
I am in the middle of moving house so the studio is now dismantled...a good opportunity to trouble shoot when I set it up in a week or so.
GaryB...re the contact cleaning solution. Would cassette head-cleaning fluid be OK?

Thanks again,

Thanks for these responses. Not what I wanted to hear though (sigh).

I am not sure how to check the motherboard myself. Is it a problem I can take to my local computer repairer?
If it is the CW card how do I get it repaired .... I'm in Australia.
As I mentioned I'm in the middle of several ...

Timeout waiting for acknowledge from DSP 0 - Cannot access

Hi,

After many years of trouble free service suddenly I get this message:

"Timeout waiting for acknowledge from DSP 0 - Cannot gain access to the Creamware hardware." whenever I try to start the software.

Using Scope Fusion Platform Version 3.1

I have tried removing and re-installing the card ...
