If enough users screamed for ASIO that might make a difference, but I feel Cakewalk is probably stubborn on this.
That said, I'm used to Sonar and don't want to give it up and I certainly don't want to give up Pulsar.

These drivers are much better than any previous ones. Using Pulsar 2 with ULLI at 7 ms I can get Sonar 2 down to 5.8ms effective latency. At 3ms ULLI I'm sure latency will be reduced further but I don't need it much better than 5.8ms and there may be the risk of dropouts in Sonar with lot's of audio ...

Unless of course you're using Win XP and are using more than 8 Wave Devices. Then SFP does not appear in the Taskbar at Start up. If set to run at startup you have to use Task Manager to End Task then re-start SFP. From then on it appears in Task bar. I just don't load it at start up and do it ...

Sandrob is right. I saw this too. Regclean deletes some asio references for some reason.

Same problem here with XP and Sonar 2. I have tried for 4 days to eliminate the delay but I believe it's in the drivers.
