Re: New DDR4/m.2 motheboard with PCI slot?
Do I need for Pulsar 1 PCI card motherboard with native PCI (pci controller in chipset) or newer board using internally pci-e to pci bridge chips are also fine with Pulsar 1? Any experience or recommended chipset? Thanks

Re: New DDR4/m.2 motheboard with PCI slot?
Hi guys,
another year is over and I am still using Pulsar I card with older computer. But this is very limiting in 2023.
Did anybody of you find or experience newer MB than recommended older ASUS PRIME B460 Plus?
Thanks for hints, now is really time to replace but I would like to keep Pulsar!

Re: New DDR4/m.2 motheboard with PCI slot?
Thank you Maus for good board proposal,
still considering ASUS PRIME B460 Plus but also thinking about something newer now in 2022 (with PCI for Pulsar 1).
Does anybody have any experience with other boards for latest processors?
BR

New DDR4/m.2 motheboard with PCI slot?
Hi guys,
I would like to build a new powerful PC with DDR4 memory and M.2 storage. Are there any contemporary motherboards having PCI slot for old Pulsar card available? Or do you have experience with PCI to PCI-E adapters?
Thank you for any recommendations.

Pulsar I as soundcard without Scope SW?
Hi,
I installed old Pulsar I card using 64-bit drivers from Scope 5.1 package on 64-bit W10 (see the picture).
Is it possible to use it without Scope 5.1 SW as a simple sound-card (just audio out from Windows)?
I don't have license for Scope 5.1 and 4.5 can't be installed on 64-bit system.
Thanks ...

Re: Small motherboard for Pulsar I based synth?
Hi,
back to the topic, what about something like Raspberry / Odroid with Windows? I see problem with PCI connector?
What is the smallest MB / Computer to be able to run Pulsar PCI card?
It would be cool
Thanks

Re: Pulsar I + Scope SW 4.5 on W10 32/64bit?
Yes, you are maybe right with reasons to buy Scope 5.1 upgrade, but still there is poor Pulsar I card latency (13ms).
In case I want to use it just as a sound-card, I am definitely able to buy similar output quality for less than 150EUR.
Initially I had just idea to re-use my old Pulsar I card ...

Re: Pulsar I + Scope SW 4.5 on W10 32/64bit?
Hi again,
are there any news regarding Scope 4.5 and Windows 10 (final version)?
Can somebody confirm it will not be possible use Scope 4.5 with 64-bit Windows (only with 32-bit)?
Thank you
Peter

to yayajohn: Glad to hear it. Internal Realtek audio chip on my motherboard is shitty, that's why I wanted to use Pulsar's high quality output.
But it is a good idea to use Realtek just for system audio (Windows sounds, youtube, WMP) and ASIO for making music in DAW. If it is working (I didn't test ...

Are you (jhulk) working with Garyb for Sonic / Core ?:)
If this is not true http://www.hitfoundry.com/issue_04/compat.htm and no one is able to run Pulsar (Scope 4.5) on W7 32-bit, then I resign!

Re: Pulsar I with Asus P5B SE on W7 32bit (Scope 4.5) proble
I reinstalled Windows 7/Windows 10 TP, disabled everything, but still the same problem as you can see on my video.
I tried also driver 3.1c but still the same.
Can you provide me file/link to driver 3.1b which should be different from 3.1c?
What about old PCIe Sapphire HD 2400 XT?
Thanks for help ...

Re: Pulsar I + Scope SW 4.5 on W10 32/64bit?
Internal AUX jacks were hidden (hide disabled devices:)
After enabling it works on W10 as same as on W7 -> internal synths have no problem but Windows sounds are crackling:

Any ideas?

Re: Pulsar I + Scope SW 4.5 on W10 32/64bit?
What do you mean by "'Scope running at all'? Scope didn't start automatically (the same issue I had on W7) so I am starting it manually. I can hear an audio click. It opens the default project with basic wave/asio devices connected to mix's in/outs.

OK BACK TO THE TOPIC NOW:
I installed Pulsar I + Scope 4.5 on Windows 10 32-bit (Technical Preview 9926), because I think it is not possible with 64-bit version. Is it?
Driver (Device Manager) is fine, Scope 4.5 is running under Windows XP SP3 Compatibility mode.

Pulsar I + Scope SW 4.5 on W10 32/64bit?
Hi,
I wonder if it is possible to install Scope 4.5 on 32/64bit Windows 10 (January Technical Preview)?
I have old Pulsar 1 card with Scope 4.5 sw running under compatibility mode on W7.
I know this table http://www.hitfoundry.com/issue_04/compat.htm but did anybody try that?

Yes, I would like exactly something like this.
But the most of these ITX motherboards have PCIe only. Does it fit Pulsar I card or do I need the pure old PCI only?
