THank you once again for the great and fast response. I will try it out once my headache subsides from listening to the same vocal loop for 2 hours :-)

How would the dry/wet fader thing work within scope? Surely you'd still just be turning the volume on the output of the compressor up and down ...

Using SFP as External FX in Nuendo?

This is a follow-up question to the one I posted earlier (many thanks for the answers to that, BTW!)

I have been experimenting with using SFP as an External FX in Nuendo. I do this by attaching the External FX to a free Input and Output, and then connecting the corresponding Asio2 source and Asio2 ...

Using the SFP effects as send effects in Cubase?

Hi,

My project template is getting a little sluggish because of all the plugins I use to equalise, compress etc. I would like to delegate as much as possible to the effects in my Pulsar II instead of using plugins, but I don't know how to route it.

Is it possible to get the signal flow working so ...

If I can compress my way out of this problem, it would be ideal. Do any of you audiohackers have a suggestion for good settings of the compressor to tame the wide dynamics of classical music?

Hi,

I have set up a classical music radio station in my home using an FM transmitter and an MP3 player outputting to a different Pulsar Dest than the one I usually use. It works perfectly, but some of the MP3s I am playing are at a higher volume than others, making the background music rather ...

Simple, but efficient. I didn't know you could bypass the mixer. Hadn't thought of it, I suppose. Thanks!

I've corrected the link. Stupid Typo.

What I'd like is for the MP3 player to output to a seperate physical channel from all the other music happening in my system. It's not so important which specific channel it is.

This should be a piece of cake to you guys, but...

I would like to set up a clandestine MP3 player on my system to pump out classical music via an FM transmitter to radios spread around my house. But I don't want this interfering with my day-to-day usage of my Pulsar, including playing and ...

Ah! I solved it!

Seems what was wrong was that the "Windows Audio" service was not running. I went into Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services and found the "Windows Audio" service and started it.

I guess Premiere and Nuendo don't use the Windows Audio service, but intead access the ...

Hmm... now my Nuendo and my Premiere have no problems working with Scope 4.5. However, I still can't play a regular mp3-file in WMP. Where do I check which driver Windows attempts to use?

My samplerate window informs me that

System: 44.1 kHz, Master

Sync Source Adat A connected, samplerate 44.1 kHz.

When I start Nuendo, though, it informs me that the samplerate could not be set (which is what it says if Scope isn't running.)

The problem has arisen quite suddenly and without warning. I have had the sound card for two years and never had this problem before. I'm assuming that I've installed something which somehow is blocking the access to the hardware from Windows (via the drivers), while Premiere obviously uses its own ...

Hi,

my Pulsar is acting strange. I can get it to throughput anything I input (microphone, guitar, etc.) and I can also make it play any music inside Adobe Premiere Pro, but nothing will play within Windows Media Player or Steinberg Nuendo (both act as if SFP is not running.) I have tried installing ...

Hi,

for some reason, I'm stuck with three stereo channels on my ASIO2 DEST gizmo in the Routingwindow of SFP. When I right-click on aforementioned gizmo, it gives me the options "remove module" and "disconnect", which aren't very helpful options given the circumstances.

What am I doing wrong?

Sorry if this is a newbie FAQ. Just wondering if anyone has any nice preset banks for the insert FX in SFP. Maybe presets for the MultiFX insert, but generally anything that makes the ol' analog input sound cool.

Thanks for the help so far, guys! I would kiss your feet, only that this is the Internet and you're far away, and, well, it's kinda gross.
