if what you need is to record 24 tracks @ 96k there are many other cheaper options

It has 2 x ADAT in/out (16 channels) so I assume it will cope with ADAT SMUX 96K (8 channels)

Using 6.2.1 here. Very Solid.
There have been users that have had issues though. Larry K is on here and he had a bunch of issues with Multi CPU engine and Scope . I have not seen any issues though. Sound like the MS C++ redistrib is getting hosed on your install. Not sure why that is. Have tried ...

I don't come here that often, however, it is obvious to me that DAS shold be banned. This used to be a great place to converse all things Scope. Now it still is, but to a lesser degree.

Between DAS calling users down to accusing them of theivery, one certainly can't have a conversation about 3rd ...

we need PCIe first coupled with OSX/ Vista drivers to even have a prayer of getting new users. I hope these are in the plans.

Yes, using Sonar 6.2 at the moment. It nicely uses all 4 cores as it splits it's engine into as many threads as CPUs available. Working VERY well here.

i have all three and they're all good for something.
i would never want to use sam for tracking/contruction. sonar and cubase are superior there for me. i love sam for certain audio editing features and for mastering a cd. use what you like, they all work fine. none of those companies are cool ...

There is a good crossgrade deal for switching to Samplitude right now.
You might consider this option and get out of the political situation :)
