Okay....tweaking is an option when computers ain't working as it should...but I would also like to add....
if it is'nt broken don't mess with your computer.

Have been reading about all kind of troubles with irq and stuff.

My new soundcard had a conflict with a USB port.....sharing the same irq.
That was very easy solved by moving the card to another pci slot and voila ,the computer works like a dream now.

yes...I have thought about a USB card.
one with a midi port as well......
a usb card with midi in /out would be nice.
....with zero latency would rock this thing i think...

Finally got this computer working !!!
No problems at all.

It is fast and booting up so much quicker than windows 98.

Now ....all that is left is to buy a good soundcard.
btw....
That built in Soundcard is really a bad sounding thing.....
