Actually in modern motherboards PCI slot1 tends to share irq with its nearest neighbor...AGP slot.
This is true. I'd stick it in the next slot down or something...

Heh heh. Have a look what's on their front page now as a "Blowout Special"

http://www.musiclab.net.au/

Dunno if this means that they're not doing creamware or not anymore...

Checkout a book called "how to build a small budget recording studio from scratch.... with 12 tested designs" by Mike Shea, ISBN 0-07-138700-5

Most of it's dedicated to room treatment, which in 90% of the presented cases amounts to some 703 semirigid fibreglass panels covered in burlap hung on the ...

maybe it's the metronome .
i'd just shut off the metronome.i'm assuming that this is happening in spite of quantisation....sounds like an sx problem...

Actually, someone somewhere was saying to me that ALL midi metronomes have a timing issue. Try creating a sample loop in acid or something ...

The RRP at major music is pretty high compared to what deals can be done... Music Lab prices are ok, shame they're not too supportive of CW - I check their prices site very regularly.

So I'd just have to do an online mixdown instead of an offline one. That's cool, I can live with that, and understand the reasons for it.

Thanks heaps.

This is a great thread, I'm in a similar boat, already posted a similar thread, but I'll do a bit of a hijack.

Forgetting syths for a bit - I don't play keyboards, and not many of the bands I record do - how does XTC mode work? The impression from the creamware site (which I don't feel is much chop ...

Well, the things like Amper and Vinco are the sort of things I want to use with it.

4 DSPs..? Bugger me!

I think a list of plugins by type somewhere would be very handy.

I'm reading about this finaliser all over this forum, with various spellings no less. Anyone got a link or a list of links for the freebie type plugs for the CW stuff?

I've got a set of Yorkville YSM1i myself actually - very very happy with them. If you tried them, I think you'd be pleasently surprised.

When I say I record "audio", I mean that I record bands, usually 5 tracks of drums, 1-2 tracks of bass, and maybe a couple of guitars depending on what's left over, live.

Synths don't interest me at all, in all honesty, I'm not one guy sitting behind a midi keyboard creating stuff, and I can't ...

Gudday.

I'm thinking about finally upgrading from my ISIS, and I'm intrigued by the idea of the CW DSPs onboard. I'll either get a LunaIIex and some adat box, or maybe the A16.

I generally only record audio, no midi or synths here, but I'm wondering how the luna goes with a couple of compressors ...
