Hello everybody...
I'm probably doing something stupid, because i hate this stuff and usually get someone to do it for me, but i'm trying to install a new RAM stick and my PC won't have it...it just goes into safe mode and then says
'windows protection error...restart your computer' when i restart ...

Hello Toby, I hope everthing is cool...

This is a good track, nice and clean. I like that bassline, it sounds like a spitfire in a dog fight!

But that kick is definately too quiet - if you listen to most DnB tracks, the kick bounces along over the top of the bass...but i also think that the snare ...

OK...thanks everybody, those effects look very tempting, but no money really does mean no money!

But i really wanted to just simulate the same effect using only the SFP effects which i have already e.g. delay and perhaps a filter.

I thought that there was a way of of wiring any delay to achieve ...

Thanks for the reply (very quick!), but all i have is STS 3000, SFP and some imagination...

Why?

Because i've got no money!

Thanks anyway...

Does anybody know how to achieve dub style delays, using SFP effects?

You know in reggae when they delay something and the delays get closer together over time and then disapear...

I read in a magazine that its done by looping the delay back on itself and then filtering the output (or something ...

In my opinion...the best track i've heard on planet Z.

Reminds me of the 'ingredients' compilations from Cooking records.

The mix sounds good, the timings dont bother me...i wouldnt fault this track in any way...

Hello Neil,
Hope you are well. As you can imagine i'm as busy as ever (if not more!) so i'm not really back yet, this is just a flying visit.
Sadly i've only had time to give this track a couple of spins and have not read all the posts, so please forgive me if i say anything outrageous!
But to your ...

Hello Neil,

Great drum track!

...although i would like to hear variants or elaborations of the kick fill at the end of each section.

I actually think that this track would be strong enough without the vocal samples if, as chris werner suggested, there was some kind of melody or new elements added ...

Thanks for taking the time to listen and reply.

Some elements of the song seem to have been lost during MP3 encoding, for example the delay on the rhodes and vocals seems to have disappeared (at least it is not apparent on these tiny speakers). But as i've said, the song's over a year old now and I ...

Thanks for the encouraging words, i honestly appreciate it.

I'm pleased that although this music is not your thing, you still found something positive to say.

I think you've hit the nail on the head about having some movement in the bass notes of the electric piano - its an equation that i shall ...

'it's just a "*.cda" track, ie audio cd format, that can be heard only from a audio cd (the burner sofware converted the mp3 into a true cda file, which is normal, because you may have done a cd-audio by mistake).'

Sorry, i'm not sure what you mean.

Could someone explain the correct method of ...

I converted the track to MP3 in Wavelab and then burnt onto CD. Then i copy the track from CD onto the hardrive of this computer and thats where something goes wrong, because up until this point windows media player will play the track, so it must be something that happens when i copy and paste. I ...
