Hi Royston,
The MIDI input to the SFP synths comes from the Sequencer MIDI In Source. The Pulsar MIDI Source is not used. It works great and I haven't had any lockups or other problems, even with my WX5 windcontroller and keyboard on at the same time. MIDI-OX is brilliant. It speaks and listens from ...

MIDI-OX does the job, and then some. Thanks guys for the tip. I'm sure the MIDI Loopback would also work from the same company, but the MIDI-OX can do so much more as well. It's ike a Swiss army knife for MIDI. I will do lots of exploring the posibilities later. It's cool to see my Pulsar II board ...

On one day over a week ago I got 3 freezes in the middle of my work. That evening I downloaded a little program from Microsft called UPHClean that cleans the hive. I just downloaded the new ASUS BIOS version 1017 and it fixed the problem. Now firewire does not show up and take an IRQ and now my 3.2 Prescott is recognized. Now I don't run at 2.8Mz with Ratio fixed at 14, but 3.2Gz and a Ratio fixed at 16. http://www.asuscom.de/support/bios/liveupdate.htm

My BIOS settings are almost the same as Paul's. I also have 1024MB of RAM. His screen shots 4 & 5 are the same as mine. I can't use slot 5 because the Zalman graphic card heatsink is in the way. I can try slot 1 but I will have to first remove some Black Noise acoustic baffle which will get in the way. I'll do this later today. I didn't connect MIDI after bootup but will try that also.
Thanks for the tips.

Today I reinstalled SCOPE over the top of the existing installation and I've been playing my Prodyssey with my Bosendorfer in GigaStudio without any freezes for the last two hours. Maybe it fixed something because it certainly is an improvement since yesterday.
