thanks for the help guys.. just got a pulsar2... all is happy... except the xtc plugs arent loaded into logic. am I meant to do something else? They are in the vstplugin folder but it doesn't come up in logic 5.

yeah its red alright... theres no problem with the a16 or the cable... the other 8 inputs work fine when switched them around....

I tried all that but still not working! any other ideas? or should i just get a adat extension?

My pulsar1 adat1 has died for some reason. the indicator in pulsar doesn't show up... anyone have any ideas what else the problem could be besides it being totally gone??? (The signal from my A16 is alright)...

Pulsar 2 unused and still in box unopenned..

When playing a cd (or file) from the windows media player, I get crackling sounds... It happens whether the "enable digital CD audio for this device" is checked or not...

I've hooked it up with a wave source...

any ideas?

Nup... unfortunately I dont have another card I can try... I should be getting another monitor soon (when I can find one) and then i can test if its monitor or not... I should also install the latest drivers for my G450... hehehhe....

but the shadow thing aint that bad... not noticable at all when ...

I've got a weird thing happening in logic 5 though...In the arrange window, when i want to change say the audio instrument into an audio track, all the menus pop ...

finally picking up my system tomoz.
P4b266, p4 1.8 northwood, 512M ddr pc2100, matrox G450 dualhead, 40G seagate 7200, 60G seagate 7200, lan card, Win xp home, 300w and midi case.

I'll be running logic 5 and pulsar 1.

What slot and IRQ is best with the P4B266?

I love the look of the carillion systems and the specs for noise are quite impressive, but I'm over here in Oz, so after the markup and the shipping, ....hhehehe ... I'll be way over budget...

I've just put in an order for p4 1.8...should be here on friday or monday... I'll let you know how that ...

I was contemplating getting a preconfigured DAW, but for the price, I could easily build one myself for alot cheaper. I'm working on a budget but i want to get a system that will work and last as long as possible. Do factory sound make reasonably cheap DAW's?

What configuration are the 2 hard drives in?

does this increase track count or just produce less problems?
